Holy overly long days, Batman!

I left the house after posting this morning, and caught the bus to the bus terminal downtown.
I needed a different bus line to where I was going, so after waiting a bit I thought it came, then I was told by the driver I needed to wait for the bus with the same route number going the other direction, so I did.
That bus came, and I went as far as the notes I wrote said to go, and got off at the stop.
I couldn't quite figure out which way to go, so I called the lady, and after she told me, I realized I needed to go down the street right where I had gotten off (duh...)
I walked up that street (I say up because it was largely uphill) then when I finally got to the top I turned right. When I got to a dead end, a lady walking her dog asked what I was looking for, and when I told her, she said I should have turned left.
I turned around and went the other way, and not too much longer after that found where I was supposed to be.
The lady's boyfriend met me at the gate, and brought me inside.
The three of us sat in the kitchen, and they talked about what they needed, and I met their dog--a beautiful female Great Pyrenees (she must have gotten a "summer cut" though, as she wasn't fluffy).
I was told that the dog was shy, but while I was sitting at the table the dog (her name was Leeka) nuzzled my hand, so I think we can be friends.
We talked about days and things, and thankfully they didn't turn me away because of all the work it took to get there. As she said she would, she paid me for coming even though I didn't get the chance to "practice walk" with Leeka as the lady had said she wanted me to do. She had told me that she only had an hour before she had to get back to her work on the computer, and my trouble finding the place cut into the time. I'm going to have to leave earlier the days I go to walk Leeka.
I walked back down the hill to the bus stop going the other direction from the one I came. I waited maybe fifteen minutes/half an hour before the bus showed up. I rode it back to the bus terminal downtown, and no sooner did the driver activate the lift and get someone on in a wheelchair, the bus broke down!
We all (the 8-10 people that were on the bus) got off and waited, as the driver had said a replacement bus was coming, and a few minutes after he tinkered with something, he got the bus running again, so we all got back on and headed back to this side of town!
I went all the way to the shopping center, got off and went to the store, grabbed some bread, english muffins and milk, and came home.
I wrote myself some notes about which way to go and such for next time.
Wasn't a bad day, but...

I know how you feel when days appear to be long.

It wasn't bad--just long and tiring.

I believe so. The lady said she would send me a "map" with routes to take the dog on.

Oh dear ! Such a shame you had this bad day. But, on the up side you met Leeka and she likes you.
