Little England is getting angry!

There is a craze in England at the moment for working-class men to fly the national flag on various lampposts and paint the Flag of St George on the road and stuff in protest, they say, an act of patriotism and love of the country. Americans do that stuff real well. The movement started when a young girl was sexually abused outside a hotel housing asylum seekers. Protests began outside the hotel and spread to many others across the country housing some of the 100,000 plus unprocessed asylum seekers. The anger is tacit racism, of course, but who will ever admit to that. Statistically there were probably more sexual offenders protesting outside the hotels than cowering in them. Young Muslim men have different rules about sexual relationships in their own countries but not tolerated here - unless you are Mick Jagger or an A-List pop star lining up the young groupies in the 1970s and 80s.. People across Europe are fed up with high level of uncontrolled people movement and lashing out and removing presidents and prime ministers over the issue, France and the U.K next to be taken over by a far right government. But other reason for putting up the flags in protest of immigration is the crime levels here. A good example of that is mobile phone theft. Our lives are on those devices now and its traumatic and a hassle when they are stolen, especially in the street by guys on E-Bikes etc, soon emptying your bank account. London has 40% OF ALL Europe's phone thefts. 40%! One is stolen every 8 minutes, 85,000 plus per year. Most are stolen by ethnic minorities, often black kids but increasingly franchised out to Kurds and all sorts. They can get up to £300 for the latest Apple phone to sell on to handlers. A massive police operation was launched to crack down on it, resulting in a gang being smashed and arrested, the MET Police say this particular multicultural group responsible for 40% of that phone theft in the capital. That number is debatable and perhaps more about PR to show the police are trying to stop it but it is a huge problem in London, Tourists, students and white collar workers easy targets. Other things are targeted, like high-end watches and jewellery, young men on E-bikes and Mopeds swarming victims with often violent attacks. So London highlights black and ethnic crime is a problem here and why tax paying citizens are angry that pretty much anyone can jump in a boat and get here now. Albanians were one group who took the opportunity to jump on those illegal boats over The English Channel and now dominate the drugs trade here. We could really do with Donald Trump on this one. The flags are cheap and nasty like the protest and will come down or disintegrate through the winter and that protest forgotten but Europe's biggest problem is illegal movement and if the remaining center left governments of France and Spain ect dont get a hold of it then they will fall and we will be back to the 1930s, pretty scary stuff.

This is a complex and deeply charged issue affecting many communities. You've highlighted how economic anxiety, cultural friction, and legitimate security concerns can create a volatile social mix. While the flag protests may be a temporary expression of frustration, the underlying challenges of integration, resource allocation, and border security require thoughtful, long-term solutions from leadership to prevent further polarization.
