I think I posted the other day that Moms new next door neighbours are having a house warming party …or rather , parties, …this coming weekend.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there is going to be loads of people coming and going. There will be music , food and prayers ….i think for religious reasons.
Anyway. When we got back from shopping this morning we saw a huge white marquee has gone up in the back garden. Through the hole on the fence ( that their builders made when they let concrete block fall on it ), we could see tables and chairs.
They have also started cooking as the smell is wafting through the air ….gosh, it makes me feel hungry.
Mom, at 87, is not looking forward to this weekend …..it’s going to be way too noisy for her.
Unfortunately , we have the Grandkids this weekend so it will be almost as noisy at our house.
Ah well, such is life !

@traceyjayne Your poor mum could do without that. All weekend? That’s unreasonable.

I think it’s possibly to do with their religion. They mentioned prayers ….
The father said Sunday was going to be the busiest , but now there is a marquee …..goodness knows how many will be coming !

She is dreading the whole weekend….today there have been people coming and going all day ….we had to ask someone to move their car as we couldn’t get out. They did bring some food round though ….Mom doesn’t like it so we brought it home with us. That was kind of them. We know there is going to be fireworks too.

@LindaOHio my Mom was asked but didn’t feel up to going. We have the Grandkids so she would be on her own and a lot would be said in their own language, which Mom doesn’t understand. She also is not keen on their food…..they did take some round yesterday but she gave it to us ….we had it for supper.

@Traceyjayne Usually if there's going to be a noisy party, the host/hostess invites the neighbors.
