Snatcher Experience in Jeddah

In 2013, I witnessed a phone snatcher nabbed a pedestrian's phone while talking to someone on the other line right before my very eyes a few centimeters away along Makaronah Street. Then the policemen were alerted and they searched every corner of that district. No news whether this riders in tandem were caught or still at large. But for quite sometime I felt safe in the streets and on every corner of Jeddah.
Time went fast and still safer until someone told me or that the haris did warn me of not putting my wallet in the back pocket of my pants. I was stoked.
Today, at around 8:30 in the evening on a very short street which is not so heavily lighted or shall I say, a little dark but quite near Tahlia Street, two black young men on their motorcycle were successful. They were successful in snapping the strap of my shoulder bag. They attempted but failed. I heard myself shouting like I was in my tae kwon do class while attempting to break a pile of brick to pass the finals. They just rushed away afterwards. I hope he hurt his hands.
Thank you, Lord.
I hope it is only an isolated case.

Oh no! You have to be very vigilant when there is crime all around you. Be careful.

Oh that was kind of horrifying experience to have. Though they have been unsuccessful with this it’s still very traumatic being in that situation. Hope the police would be able you track them down since they will get more bolder if they are able to do that freely in that area.
