Why is it that animals and humans don't speak the same language? Having had cats for many decades, I know they know to communicate what they want to me either vocally by meowing or by rubbing against me or showing me. But why do you think animals can’t talk like humans?

Well, in the Bible they apparently did before Adam and Eve sinned. The snake was the one convincing Eve to eat the fruit. Of course, a lot of people don’t believe in creation so my answer will probably be scoffed at.

i think it would be wierd if they could. I communicate great with my dog, but him talking would freak me out.

That's a fascinating question! Animals definitely communicate effectively, just through different systems. The difference likely comes from our distinct evolutionary paths—humans evolved complex vocal structures and brain regions specifically for speech, while animals developed their own sophisticated ways to convey messages through sounds, body language, and scent. It's amazing how well we learn to understand each other across that gap.

Don't have an answer but I have always thought it would have been great if animals could talk,
