The Mister has got it ……yay ….its finally ours !

Well, you will never guess what The Mister brought home with him today. I have mentioned it in previous posts….. We have a postbox Yes, I have wanted one for the garden for ages but they are so expensive to buy. There is a house not far from us that is being renovated and in the garden there was an old lamp ….we had that a few weeks ago. What I wanted mainly was the postbox. It was still encased in the brick work. It has the letters GR on it so that is King George, so we are going back to 40’s / early 50’s. The guy got the bricks off it and phoned The Mister today when he was on his way home. He collected it before coming home, just ringing to say he had got a surprise. I admit I did do a happy dance when I saw it. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but we like quirky, and it is definitely that. The deal is The Mister gives him a couple of days labour in exchange. He is going to do a couple of hours tomorrow to help move some items. The postbox is worth around £1000.
