Getting the Grandson up ….and out of the house for football ….

Oh how I love the football season ….early mornings on a Saturday !!! Only joking, I enjoy it really. Today though because The Mister had to go out …..see previous post about jobs and the postbox, we weren’t able to take the Grandson to football. The Mister rang our son and got him to come this morning and take him and bring him back. We told the Grandson about the new arrangements last night. Now, Grandson is like me ….not a morning person …..we have to start calling him 10 minutes before we need to so that gives him time to get into the land of the living ! I went to his room and he was as snug as a bug in a rug….all encased in the duvet. In the end I had to say twitch your foot ….which was sticking out the side of the bed …..if you can hear me. The foot twitched. A short while later he ‘ emerged ‘ down the stairs and into the living room to get his clean clothes from his bag ….. He went back up stairs to get washed and dressed and as he was going he said “ it’s too early for all this “ He was ready just as his uncle arrived. Maybe he will be fully awake by the time they get to the football ground. The joys of having a teenager, and early Saturday mornings ….. What are you up to today ?
