Good grief, people, it's not even Halloween yet and there have already been signs up posted alongside the road advertising Christmas Decorating.
I know people use companies now more than in the past to hang the wreaths on the outside of their houses, especially on the upper story windows, but they also get them to do design and provide the decorations now too.
But in October? Are they wanting to get bookings early? This is way too early for this, don't you think?

@looeyville I detest Christmas but I love the incarnation. Last year was my first year retired from ministry and I didn’t have to do Christmas services with all the trimmings and we spent it with my daughter and her family in England. This year we are thinking about spending it in Athens but the jury’s still out on that. Our supermarkets seem to be skipping over hallowe’en (which I refuse to observe) and scooting straight on to Christmas. Why all the madness?

It's a bit much. I saw my first Christmas commercial a few days ago already, and if course it isn't even Halloween yet.

Oh, heck, I remember when the Christmas catalogs started showing up at the post office for delivery in August.

I think they want to install outside lights before the weather gets bad. Just a guess.
