To attend or Not attend

I am having second thoughts about whether to attend or not attend the last day of our Korean history class. Attending means seeing the woman who has been badmouthing me. She is one of my classmates. If you have been following my discussions here, I posted that a group of compatriots who got mad at me because they were unable to eat the grilled pork I shared during the potluck at our picnic. They ganged up on me, actually. She and her minions have been spreading gossip that I deliberately did not give them pork (how shallow!) Last week, I received a phone call from the organizer of the Korean class. She talked me into attending the last day of classes, even though I have missed a lot of classes (because I have work). Because the Ministry of Multicultural Center is going to attend the culminating day, and the organizer wants the day to be well-attended.

I hope the class goes well. Being upset over pork is very petty.

I hope you end up going. You did nothing wrong, and your attendance matters more than “Gossipy Greta”.
