I can see why George's about over the Va. I am too.

I almost feel like we wasted our time. I honestly feel the nutritionist wasn't listening to a word we were saying. She told me, I need to go back to three tube feeds, unless George eats three or more times a day. And, can have a good weight by the time they go to take out his tube, but it also henges on the results of one test, and if that test isn't good, then the tube will be replaced.
While I can see where George's coming from, getting anything done is like pulling teeth. No one talks to each other, no one does anything. George even asked me if his bloodwork could be shared between two hospital systems, so he can get it done, once. And, it'll be a pain in my rear end.... but yes it can. I'll just have to get him to take me to the other hospital to input the information in their systems. It's more tedious then it needs to be, and I've got one provider saying ne thing and another saying another.
George is stuck in the middle, theroughly confused, and trying to understand what's being told to him. But, he is getting around a bit better, and instead of coming streight home, we took a drive. So that was fun.

It would be better, if they all communicated with each other. But, nope. So we're left with mixed messages, insurance pitfalls and a whole bunch of nothing.

@kaylachan Sounds frustrating. We need leadership that truly respects veterans and will look into this kind of thing.

@TheHorse No, we need concepts like universal healthcare. We need afordable healthcare. Even if you have insurance, the hospitals and doctors have the freedom to set their own prices. Being tied to insurance, because we don't have the means to pay medical costs, is a huge problem.
For George, it's the VA. For me it's uniteded Healthcare a Medicare advantage plan.
