Mid week...some free time

Happy Wednesday from this side of the planet. It's 9:26 AM as I write this post. And I am writing one after a long time.
. It's sunny bright outside and makes me happy to see the sun after staying in cloudy gloomy weather for days due to cyclone in other state. Anyways, the entire 2025 had stayed gloomy with excessive rain.
It's mid week. I am at work place. Finished the first one to one session in the morning. I have two session free as the children are sick and absent. It's the changing weather and many young children are sick. Few of the teachers are also on sick leave this week. Since I am free till 11:45 due to my sick students, I am taking one 4th Grade class as substitute for today. I have been asked to make it an art session and start doing some Christmas ornaments with them. I got this communication on Moday only and have things prepared. My assistant will be there to help me too.
I will be here for a while and them do some lesson planning later. I am waiting for the herbal tea that is served around 10:15 in the first morning break. Meanwhile, I will keep mylotting..

@arunima25 Thank you for updating me on your wonderful girls. I’ve always been impressed by your older daughter. You have worked miracles with your younger daughter. I know firsthand the challenges autistic children face, but the fact that your younger daughter is in college amazes me. No provisions are made for college students, so being in the third semester is wonderful. It’s always wonderful having the girls nearby. I wish them all the very best.

@DianneN Thank you. My younger one has flourished so well and has been a pleasant surprise for all. She is extremely bright and is now showing good improvement with social skills too. College is also very supportive. She has got state rank in academics and music. The best part is that she is coping well without any special accommodations. That's a great milestone.

That used to happen with me when I started my teaching career. I would fall sick often, catching cold from the young ones. But my immunity has improved. Now, I would reassure the young new teachers that they would develop good immunity over a period of time. They fall sick frequently 
.
My girls are doing good. Elder one is in final semester of her graduation in Communication Design in one of the well renowned Design school across world and the best one in the country. She moved back home during Christmas as her training internship is close to our home. Happy to have her back .. Let's see where she goes for job in the next five months after finishing her internship.
Younger one is a student of Commerce and business writing exams for her third semester. If you remember she is on Autism Spectrum. She enjoys academics but faces few challenges of being autistic. Happy that she got into a college near our place and did not go far for college like the elder one. Right now, both are with us and we are enjoying it . They want to pursue Masters but still not clear. Maybe they would work for a couple of years and then try for Masters.

The weather seems quite confused . So many variations and fluctuations in the same day. We have to stay safe and do everything possible to boost our immunity and stay away from sickness
