17 years have passed since .....

I have been going to that grave every All Souls Day, November 2 , for the last seventeen years. I didn't realise how seventeen years have passed since that tragic night . My colleague and friend, Mr Mariadas, died in a road accident. He was returning home on his bicycle at about 10 o'clock night. He perhaps was hit by a truck. As it was an unnatural death a post mortem was done. The burial was done after midnight on a night soaked by rain. Since that tragic night, I have been visiting Mr. Mariadas' grave every year with the children of our foster home. Today, I found that a completely different generation of children was with me to pray at the cemetery. In fact I realised that none of the present group of children has seen Mr Mariadas. I had to tell the story of the contributions Mariadas made to our charity. How time has passed! I may like it or not one day I will be brought to join those buried here. Then years will perhaps not matter any more.
