It Takes a Team

It really does require a team effort to take care of someone with Dementia. My job is doctors appointments and insurance and prescriptions Hubby's job is transportation and finances Brother-in-law's job is socialization and any handyman work that needs done Sister-in-law's job is technical stuff on phone and tv and getting groceries Most of the doctors offices and her local bank branch have been understanding when we tell them that she has Alzheimers and we need to be the contact people handling her affairs, but every once in a while we run into a barrier that we just can't get past like today. Sigh. But we have a good support system going for my mother-in-law and we're all working together as a team.

She is very fortunate to have this family team support. Whatever that barrier is, I hope it works out somehow.

Glad you are all helping her and I hope she is managing to live on her own.

Man, it really sounds like you all have stepped up big time for her. It’s tough when the system makes things harder, but honestly, she’s lucky to have a family that’s this solid.
