Most terrorists are autistic?

We have a thing in the U.K called Prevent. It's a group that try to talk down mostly young people from attempting terrorist or extremist activity, without prosecution. Somewhat ironically, a lot of people who commit terror attacks here have been through the Prevent course. Whether it works or not it's certainly subjective. Like the CIA, we dont hear about their successes but we do hear their failures. The number of young people sent to the courses has risen this year, some of it to do with the Gaza War upsetting Muslims in Britain, but more going into it that have right wing views. In its early days , post Iraq, the Muslim community were not best happy about Prevent as it encouraged them to snitch on each other. In essence their is a flood of white kids being sent there and not so many Muslim these days even though it's the Muslims kids that blow themselves up here. What's very interesting is one third of the kids referred are on the autistic spectrum and others have ADHD and other mental disorders. Clearly mental illness is a key trait of terrorism but of the 3245 people referred,1345 had known mental illness. The suspicion is schools and social workers are referring these guys to Prevent as its simply a quicker to get help for their mental health issues and not so much about terrorism. One fifth of serial killers are autistic and one third of school shooters in the U.S are also on the spectrum.

They’re also mostly male. My nephew is autistic. The notion that he is capable of murder is laughable. I can’t speak for anyone else.

Mental illness is something that we ignore and it should not be ignored they should be helped..
