I went to the gym, and started doing my usual thing--There was another guy in there but we mostly just did our own thing. At one point I got up and asked him something about working out--I don't remember what. He was really friendly--he said that he and his wife had just recently moved in--and that they were both fitness trainers. I asked him a couple of questions, and he seemed happy to answer me--he did say that his wife gave private coaching for $90, and I didn't say it out loud, but I thought, "No." He also said he saw me doing an excersise that he said was complex for a beginner, and I should start easier. I'd never done the particular excersise before (pulling a weighted bar down and squatting), so...I guess he's the expert. After I was done I went for a bit of a walk in the rain until I got at least 2,000 steps (currently 2,574). Right now, it's lunch time, so I'd better get something. I hope that all is well with you in your part of myLot land!

He's right. If you've never done anything like that before, its often recomended to not only have a spotter anytime a bar bell of any kind is invlved, but to start with free weights and do curls to tone your arms.

You are doing good exercising on your own.
