Holidays Are Here

I have not been able to find my charger since before my son's birthday and now that I have finally found it I can get back to trying to stay consistent here. The holiday season essentially begins for me in October because of how many birthdays and the importance Halloween holds for us. It has been nonstop all October and now we are in the official holiday season where things just continue to be hectic. I have not started my holiday shopping yet but I plan to soon. I had my kids write out a list of things they would like to receive for Christmas so Santa can pick one to give them. My oldest is 12 and already knows the secrets of childhood but gladly went along with it for his 5 year old sister. My plans for self care have been on hold through events, school, work, and problems that have arisen over time. I am looking forward to getting the little bursts of dopamine while also getting things off my mind here in the meantime.

@IvySaysHi Well, you need to. Even if it's taking an extra minute before getting out of bed, or giving yourself permission to lie down for a minute or two to rest between tasks. If you can find the little things it adds up.
When I wake up each morning, I lie in bed a few minutes before getting dressed and getting started on my day.

Glad to see you here, I no longer decorate or do anything for Christmas except to light some cangles and spend Christmas Eve with the Grinch and Scrooge,

I would love to decorate and do activities with the kids but only if the economy will allow for the extra to do so. Christmas movies are a must though. My daughter just got into the Gremlins and I consider it a Christmas movie lol

Thanksgiving is SO close! I have a few Christmas presents, but there are quite a few people I have to still get presents for.@IvySaysHi (4603)

Thank you it is so good to get the feedback and be back here in a calmer realm than reality at the moment. I still have to buy the rest of my thanksgiving meal on top of regular grocery shopping and trying to somehow get the christmas shopping started
