Is it true that America is not ready for a woman president?

Michelle Obama seems to have stylishly walk away from contesting for the president of the United States of America by saying the country is not ready for a woman president. She cited Kamala Harris' loss to Donald Trump in the last election as an example of how women find themselves in difficult positions when contesting in elections.

Historically, it seems the U.S. has not been ready to trust a woman to lead the country. I hope that changes, and people learn to value and appreciate what women can bring to transforming a society long led by men. Women have equal rights, unique strengths, and perspectives that many men may not share. If I were American, I’d give them the chance to lead for a time and see how they could reshape leadership perspectives.
