Hello fellow mylotters!!! Hope everyone is doing well? Sorry it's been a while since I've updated you on what's been going on on my breast cancer journey. The last I had written was I was waiting on the results of the lymph nodes under my armpit. They did come back and they were at a 10, if they would have been 25 or over I would have had chemo and radiation as my treatment. So, it was good news that my treatment will just be radiation!!! While I was waiting for those results to come back, the surgeon wanted to do another lumpectomy because there were still some spots even around the non-cancerous spot that was around the cancerous spot. While I was there if I needed to have chemo for treatment he would just put in the port for chemo therapy. We finally decided once we found out if I needed to have a port in, then he would preform the lumpectomy. So once we found out that I didn't need the port, he scheduled for me to have a lumpectomy just on the breast. I really wasn't looking to having to go into surgery again. But he wanted to make sure he was going to get all the lumps out!!! ~Peace~
