...oh, and "Back".
Someone (probably me) got their wires crossed somewhere.
The Lyft guy came to pick me up, and we had a pleasant enough conversation, until we got to the destination. It was the wrong destination.
Knowing me, I gave the lady who called the Lyft for me the wrong address.
Meanwhile, the guy who drove me is trying to get me to call Lyft on my phone, but it turned out that I hadn't even gotten the Lyft app on this phone, yet.
Then he starts telling me, while I'm fumbling with my phone, that he has rides piling up and has to go.
I called the lady I was supposed to see, and she also tried to get me to get the Lyft app on my phone, but between not being too happy that I was stuck in a town I didn't live in with no way to get home and people were trying to get me to download and app on my phone that I couldn't get to because I couldn't figure out how to access the internet on my phone, plus the fact that my phone battery was dying...
Finally she asked me where I was, I told her, and she told me to look out for a certain kind of vehicle, and I waited maybe 15 more minutes until she showed up, and then we just did our little intake meeting (which is what I was actually going for) in her car. After we were done, she drove me to the bus terminal, and I waited another half hour until the right bus came, and I rode it to the bus terminal here in town, and fortunately not too long after I got there, the bus showed up so I could get home.
Goodness' sake....
So that's how my day went. I think that I will have no trouble sleeping tonight.
Again, I'm going to pull an @AmbiePam and not get the mail until tomorrow.
All I want to do right now is play a game, do some Bible study, and then watch something good on T.V.
Hope all is well with you in your part of myLot land!
