One of my most favourite books in my home library is destroyed by a rat when I had been to a town in my neighbouring states. I don't know how the rat got into my room. I recieved the bad news when I returned home. Since then I have been searching both online and at different publishers. Till now I have found it nowhere. It was a long Uttarakhand folktale published in the form of a small novel. I can't describe how sad I'm feeling after losing it. Can anyone tell me how to search a book which you have been unable to find anywhere?? The writer has written many stories also and many of his story collections are also published. Lwant to buy the only the collection in which the same folktale is compiled. I tried to see the contents of each of his story collections, but failed. Can I have a look at the contents of a book?? Can anyone please tell me??

I hope you find it. I have some problems with books written in Spanish but none with those written in English

Thank you, my friend. The book I'm searching for is in Hindi. I read it more than fifty time, but still want to read it again and again. There are some folktales collection available at Amazon and many book stores in big cities. I think I would have to search it in any of his story collections. I'll try to find it whenever I go to those cities.

@marguicha I'm trying whatever I can. Tomorrow I'll leave for a town to attend a wedding. I don't expect to find the book there. It's a small town. But on my way back home I'll stay in the capital city of our neighbouring states. May be I'll find it there. Thank you.

Thank you. I've tried at Amazon, but there are the folktale collections by the same author. I tried to know the contents of the book, but they didn't show the contents..Still I'll try again

I am so sorry. Besides eBay, I wouldn’t have any other suggestions.

Long ago my father had purchased it, in the 1960 decade. I found it in his book collection. The writer's folktales are compiled in at least three books. May be I can find in any of these collections. Thank you for your response, my friend

@Shivram59 Yes I guess there is more chance of finding it there. Otherwise could you try contacting the publisher? Or maybe the bookstore will try that for you.

Thank you No, the book was not in English. It was a short Hindi folktale written and published in the form of a small novel. However, I think this story might be found in any of the story collections of the same writer.
