Deliveries

I have had problems before with deliveries through both sending and receiving via USPS and UPS many times. As well relatives, friends and neighbors have too. Many times I remember my mom always having trouble receiving and sending mail when I was a child. It happened to me as an adult also. At the apartment complex I lived at before had many issues with deliveries. The regular mailman that we had was very kind and helpful. He gave Christmas cards to people on his route! When my mail key had gotten temporarily lost or I was not feeing well he would bring the mail to my apartment! Before we moved in we bought some furniture that was to be delivered by UPS the day after we moved in. When we got there to pick up the keys that lady at the office told us that the apartment supervisor was there a few days ago. Him and the maintenance men found our furniture and other boxes of things that we ordered sitting on the front porch of the building in the rain! The kind me recognized the names on the labels as the new coming tenants and moved the stuff into the kitchen of the apartment so the carpet didn't get wet! Other times my neighbor and I both reported the UPS delivery people for leaving boxes with $3,000 worth the merchandise that his wife and he had ordered for their business on the porch. Also for two of my orders of mine delivered to the delivery hubs which I opted out of due to my handicaps were put in the Hub. All because they were too lazy to bring it across the street to me. And they emailed a Spanish only speaking neighbor telling her the order was for her. Thank goodness I had placed those order's from Amazon and they resent them! My son had received text many times from the seller, usually Amazon showing the picture of his package on a porch in the neighborhood but not his home. He would go out driving looking for his package! One time my son took my mom and uncle in their late 70's out too lunch and it was raining. I had order them something they needed that was heavy so I noted to please take it to the front door of the house (the side with an awning) and please place it up on the porch. When my son brought them home, the package was at the back door in the rain! Since we moved here I have had packages not at my door, one person brought it to me, most don't. This has happened to other people too. Also two weeks after we moved in they closed the out going mail boxes and posted a notice and the apartment office emailed us all saying that all out and returned mail we have to take to the post office which is eight blocks away! On the 13th of this month I mailed in a tube a Diamond Art picture I had made for my youngest grandson that lives six hours away. I was told it would take 3-4 days to get there. He has not received it. So I called USPS and after being promised in the recording that I could talk to a live agent, I still didn't get to! I called three times! I filed a recorded complaint after I was told on the recording that my package was late but on the way, it was in between offices in a truck. About 5 minutes later I received a phone call from the post office in the town in the next state where my grandson and his parents live. She said they did not have it there and she looked and saw that the day after I had mailed it on November 13th it was sent from where I mailed it to another post office an hour and twenty minutes from me and it has been there since! I called that office, got a recording that transferred me to the operator that never answered. I called twice! I feel now that when he finally get's it it might be over heated and ruined! I think the best delivery is from Prime (via Amazon delivery) and Fed Ex. What do you think?

Amazon does use Prime, UPS, USPS and Fed Ex! Those things I ordered for my one granddaughter's birthday I said I ordered from Amazon that's why they get reshipped so quickly. I asked them if I could choose which delivery service you can get and they said no! So you may be getting stuff shipped via UPS and don't realize it

Oh, girl. Your problems are my problems. Especially with USPS! Last Christmas, and I won’t rehash it, but they caused me to lose $175 worth of items, and did not care one bit. One of their employees stole the items, and not just mine. The post office said they got dozens of complaints about their items being stolen too. It was pathetic. Even Amazon messes me up. They deliver my packages to various other apartments all the time. Like you, sometimes the residents return them, and sometimes they don’t. But, out of all the delivery evils, Amazon is the best one, you’re right.

I have never had any packages delivered from Amazon via Prime (their own) or Fed Ex, just USPS and UPS.

I've had UPS leave my packages 100 feet from the house in a snow drift.
