Have You Ever Done Yoga?

I've heard about its benefits for years but never tried it.
I'm older now (60) and probably less flexible than I used to be. Yoga is supposed to be good stretching for flexibility and strength.
I think I could do a few of the easier poses like Cat and Cow, but I don't know about the ones where you lie down on the floor. I sure as hell am not going to be able to do the pose in the picture.
What is your experience with yoga?

Do you think I can do it? Will it take some practice?

@LooeyVille You can absolutely do it. It’s pretty easy to follow along, and after a few times you’ll have it down.

@AmbiePam Thank you for the encouragement. I want to stay mobile as I age.

Yes, they have yoga virtually through the VA. It’s good when you can set your own pace and do what you’re comfortable with. I prefer yoga because it’s NOT about sweating and seeing how hard you can push yourself.

I took yoga in my early 30s - part of my extra training for figure skating. It's low impact and yes, you build up to flexibility, strength, balance, etc It's a go-at-your-own pace process . . . those fantastic crazy poses you see may be the "someday" goal, but the benefits are gained as you go try to get there. Gosh, that was almost half a life time ago for me . . . still I incorporate yoga aspects into my daily exercise today.

I have no experience with Yoga; and if I got onto the floor, the EMTs would have to come to get me up.
