Christmas is just around the corner

Christmas is getting so close, and I’m already feeling the holiday vibe! Some people are busy preparing gifts, planning trips, or organizing family gatherings. As for me, I’m still figuring out what to do this year, but the excitement is definitely building.
How about you — do you already have plans for Christmas? Are you traveling, staying home, cooking, or maybe just relaxing? I’d love to hear what you’re looking forward to this holiday season!

On Christmas Day, we always drive two hours to where my dad’s whole side of the family gets together for a potluck Christmas lunch. The number has lessened over the years, but we still run around 60 people (he’s the 15th of 16 children although 5 have passed on). Houses are too small to meet in now, so we meet at a fellowship hall in a church several of them go to. My sister and her family will arrive a bit early so we can open our presents we got each other. The entire family at large doesn’t exchange presents anymore, although long ago we used to draw names.
