Finally Moving Toward My Comprehensive Exam

Yesterday, my professor asked me about my academic status. I told her I’d already finished all my subjects, and as far as I know, the only thing left for me is the comprehensive exam.
Life just got super busy for me — work, resignation papers, and then all the documents I had to handle for migration. I finished all my academic requirements during the first trimester of SY 2024–2025, but after that, I never got any update about the comp exam schedule. I even messaged my professor before, but I guess she was just too busy and missed it.
She told me yesterday to contact the registrar, so I asked for my academic evaluation, and they sent it right away. Now I’m about to forward it to my professor. She also mentioned that the comprehensive exam will be held next month, so if everything works out, I’m hoping to take it then.
Have you ever had school or important plans put on hold because life just got too busy?

It’s actually a university program, but they offer online courses. Since life got pretty hectic for me, I hadn’t been keeping track either. Hopefully things smooth out now that I’m coordinating with the registrar and my professor.

@moirai Oh, you can ask anything. No worries at all.
Yes, it is a local university offering online courses and it also has its physical campus.

@annierose Interesting.
If you don't mind my asking further... is this a local university offering online courses, or a foreign university? Or perhaps, is it just an online university (no physical campus)?

@annierose Well, it was a long time ago, and my mom has passed away. I’m no longer in college, so it’s evened out.

Yes, family comes first. I hope things eventually got easier for you and your family. It’s amazing how much we end up juggling when life gets intense.

@AmbiePam It sounds like you did so much for your family back then, and I’m glad things have evened out for you now.

Yipes. Having trouble with people getting back to me myself, but it's not regarding college--which was a while ago for me.

Waiting for people to get back to you can be so frustrating especially when you are waiting for it the most. Hope everything that you are waiting on smooths out soon. Hang in there!

Is this online school or something? Or some sort of program where you choose your own time?
