Well, wound up taking the day off.

As I mentioned yesterday, or the day before, I'm trying to set hard limits with my time and how I use it in order to be more productive. And, for the most part, it's been working. George and I have been doing well on that front.
However, today we did something we really haven't done since the stroke, which is be out all day just existing and spending time with each other. He surprised me by asking how much money we had, and I told him. So we wound up expanding his CD collection. He's out there right now, listening to one of the cd's we boutht. We also, somehow, wound up at walmart and I got a couple hoodies and a pair of jeans. George got another pair of pants. And he bought more cds. We wound up spending a nice chunck of change, but it's not like we allow ourselves to splurge like this, often. The time together, the conversations and human interactions were worth it in my opinion and something I wouldn't want to ever take back.

I once responded to a prompt, that asked would you have more time or more money. And my answer was time. You can always make more money, but time is something you won't ever get back.

I am happy for you that George and yourself are enjoying time together.

It was a long one, to be sure.
