Gladiator Casting Problem

I think there's a problem with the casting for Gladiator 2 (2024). Denzel Washington as a main character was too well known and too modern. Peter Mensah should have been cast in that role (Peter Mensah even has the aura associated with the Spartacus series). And Dustin Clare should definitely have been one of the main protagonist gladiators.
