A few minutes ago, my desk chair started "wiggling". It only lasted a couple of seconds, but it was a good ol' California earthquake. According to what I looked up, it was 4.1 on the Richter scale, and three miles outside of Rohnert Park, where my brother lives, which is 10.5 miles form where I live. Ah, the joys of living in California. Anyone else in the Golden State feel anything?

I remember when the thought of feeling earthquakes in Oklahoma was laughable, but nowadays you can feel them pretty well when they occur.

I am glad you are safe. Is California part of a tectonic plate and are earthquakes very common there?

I never thought of the tectonic plate thing, but I would say earthquakes are pretty common.

@xstitcher Oh I was not aware of this. That is very good to know. I have family there in California but they never tell me of any quakes.

@flapiz Thankfully I don't think they happen every day, or even every month. Maybe "common" is not the right word--but living in California all of my life they don't "freak me out" so much.

As long as it lasted only a few seconds... Haven't heard anything from Horse yet about it.
