I have to say though I haven't been on here much, I have been truly blessed.
I know I say I have issues with the fire department but some of the people in it are just amazing.
We have been having such a hard time financially lately and just...it's been rough. if you've seen past posts, you know at least some of it.
To go home this year, we needed to get gas money and a new tire. The tire on my husband's truck was ready to blow we've been pushing it to the breaking point.
This morning, a dear friend in the department blessed us with the money to get a new tire. Combined with the money that my grandmother left us aside for Christmas we can also get an alignment to try to keep the other tire from getting too bad.
We got our milage checks from the Rescue Squad on Saturday and that provided us a way to bring our account back to positive and the gas money we needed to go back home.
I can officially say that we can go home as planned next Friday.
With that being said, everything else is still pretty much the same.
I'm still reading the Seven Rings by Nora Roberts.
I'm still working on that DC puzzle.
I have two blankets in the works crocheting. One baby blanket and one that will eventually be an adult one lol.
I have a couple orders to get done and a few that have been finished.
We have the Fire Department Christmas party this Saturday. I've been pushed off events so I won't get to do my favorite part and give the kids Christmas cards pr help pick out presents.
That's fine though. I am not going to wallow. We're making moderate sales with everything. It's mix of my stuff, grams stuff and now dad's.
I'll be working online for a bit today and tomorrow but I really do need to get to baking and packing.
I'm holding my head above water and it doesn't take much to make me cry right now and I'm telling you, finding out that I matter to some of the people I thought overlooked everything I do....means so much.
Words can't express what I'm feeling right now. I'm not even sure I can make sense of it all right now.
What's everyone else up to? Did you lose track of time like I did?

I don't understand. Where is HOME? I thought you lived with your mom. Isn't that home?

To me I have two. I was born and raised in Maryland and I still have family there. My parents moved down here to TN in 2009 and we joined them in 2012. So yes, this is home but Maryland will also always be home.

Thank you. Everyone keeps making me cry this year. Not that it's hard to do right now but still lol. The feeling of actually being noticed is odd after being pushed aside this year. I'll get over that part but this...all the help and those who have rallied to help us...I don't think I'll get over that.
