2000 - 2025 (continued) When Alex Trebek passed away, a couple of people were "tried out" for his replacement on Jeopardy. Ken Jennings became the new host. He has been on several other game shows and won over $2 million on Jeopardy. Brad Rutter won over $4 million. More game shows and some of their famous hosts: 25 Words or Less - Meredith Vieira, Family Feud - Steve Harvey, Flip Side - Jaleel White, People Puzzler - Leah Remini, America's Got Talent, American Idol, The Perfect Line - Deborah Norville, The Apprentice - Donald Trump, 1% Club - Joel McHale, Celebrity Weakest Link - Jane Lynch, $100,000 Pyramid - Michael Strahan and The Chase. The list goes on and on. The salaries must be very lucrative for movie, TV, news and sports stars to get involved in these shows. Some hosts have made a career out of game shows such as Alex Trebek, Monty Hall, Bob Barker, Pat Sajak and Vanna White. Someone asked me about Who Wants to be a Millionaire. This show premiered in 1999 and was in Part 3. It was originally hosted by Regis Philbin and recently by Jimmy KImmel. Game shows have come and gone over the last 8 decades; but right now they are hot, hot, hot and continuing to expand. Photo Credit: Pixabay

Interesting list and celebrities. I haven't watched game shows since my kids were little.

Jeopardy was a big favorite, Now when I watch game shows I like to see the ones I can follow by episodes otherwise it gets too confusing,

They have been repeating the Jeopardy episodes too much. They need to either air some different episodes or put another game show on.

I was surprised that they survived the scandal in the 50s to become popular. I’m glad they did. I had a lot of laughs from Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares.

There are a lot of good ones here, though there have been a lot of good ones over all of the years of television. One of the ones I like currently is the Chase that you mentioned. I liked it more I think when it was just "The Beast" as the chaser, but it is still good.

@LindaOHio That is true, they do not...which doesn't seem fair. They should get say a 10th of the amount or something! I know there was one show that did that.

I love 25 Words or Less. I was kind of glad it kept going for Meredith Vieira alone. Her husband passed away, and since her kids out of the house I figured she’d want to keep busy. She seems like a very nice lady.
