There is this disheartening trend on our roads here in Kenya. As we begin festive seasons road accidents tend to increase. This disappointing trend is often attributed to the increase in traveling population. My opinion though is there is usually too much excitement which makes people lose focus, patience and care. Alcoholism also has a serious contribution as per my opinion. Poor government preparedness could also be a factor. Do accidents increase during festive seasons in your country? What could be the possible causes and what interventions are usually effective in controlling them?
