Strengthening a family

My wife and I attended the Sunday class in the Church. Our lesson is focused on "The Family - A proclamation to the world" In our country a family is a basic in society. The proclamation states, "marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God and that the family is central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children." You may have a different views on what a family but for us we do our best to make our family forever and it depends on how we nurture our marriage and relationship with our children. By doing good example, we may unfluence them. In your point of you, what is a family and how do you maintain or strengthen your family ties?
