The most hated thing about my job here is that I often get the night shift. That means I’ll be working from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. I don’t really mind, to be honest, but at that hour the customers are usually strange. There’s one dude who often comes when I’m on night shift and always talks to me for a long time like 30 minutes or so. Maybe it’s just my feeling or something else, but it seems like he’s trying to flirt with me, he often tries to hold my hand when I give him his change. what is even funnier is that he always give the change back to me and tells me to keep it for myself, like an attempt to grab my hand one more time. Well, as long as he doesn’t do anything weirder, I think I’ll be fine.

It’s a fine line when you’re working trying to be friendly, but trying to also be professional. And there are a lot of flirters out there!

Indeed, some people mistake friendly for something else. In a way, I try to think that maybe they just don’t have anyone to talk to, so they behave like that.”

That's so peculiar. Try to nicely say you are not interested.
