Vegan means you don't eat any product that it any way came from an animal. No meat, no eggs, no milk, no cheese, nothing. Vegan's don't eat any food that was anything to do with an animal. You'd have to eat a lot of synthetic substitutes to make up for the lack of protien, if you want to be vegan.
As to why, it's a personal choice.

What others are claiming that VEGANs doesn't use any animal product. Is it true?

Yeah, if something is a vegan product it has no meat or animal byproduct in it at all. Vegans will not eat anything that came from an animal. Not even something made with milk.
I don't understand that, since milking a cow to get milk doesn't hurt the cow. It actually helps the animal, since otherwise the milk build up and can damage the cow's udder. But it takes all kinds.

OK. Let me clear one thing.
VEGANISM IS NOT ONLY UPTO EATING ANIMAL PRODUCT.
It also involves use of animal products. VEGAN People doesn't use SILK, LEATHER, WOOL, FUR.
And milk involves cruelty to that cow.
