Our small city was the center of January 14 earthquake which started around 3 in the morning and followed by another quake late at 4 AM.
Its magnitudes ranges from 0.6 to 3.9 according to PHIVOCS.
The PHIVOCS said that these quakes were caused by volcanic intrusion or the rise of magma in Kanlaon Volcano.
As of now, 15th of January, the record shows: Earthquake Information No.2

Depth = 010 km
Location = 10.46°N, 123.07°E - 016 km N 78° E of City Of La Carlota (Negros Occidental)
Currently, the PHIVOCS recorded 44 series of quakes in Negros Occidental.
