Snow!

This morning the neighborhood woke up wearing a tiny, perfect blanket of snow — barely enough to hush the street but enough to make everything look newly painted. I snapped this picture at 7 AM while it was still pristine, before my girls turned the yard into a map of footprints and giggles. The sun came out, the snow remembered it had other plans, and by mid-morning most of the magic had slipped away. Short-lived, delightful, and photographed for proof: sometimes wonder arrives, announces itself with a single snowfall, and leaves as quickly as it came.
