I saved on my medical expenses

I am registered in the YAKAP Program of PhilHealth so I have to avail their services. Yesterday, with the doctor's request for laboratory tests, I went to the Caloocan City North Medical Center to get the schedule for the procedure requested. About 4 of it were not covered by PhilHealth so I have to pay for them. I was advised to approach the Social Services for discounts. Well, I had availed the 75% off so I only paid about 214 pesos. Compare this to my previous lab tests in a private hospital which costed me over 3,000 pesos. Also, there is a budget for medicine of 20,000 pesos for the whole year. I also went to the Medical Depot to get the medicine that was prescribed which is available at their store. So this is a great saving for me. I am really grateful that we have this program.

I am really glad for you that you have this program. The limit of 20k pesos works out at about £900. Some medicines are very expensive. So that does not sound like a large amount
