Recently, I was going through an old collection of photographs, and I came across of a photograph of me and my colleague Wg Cdr Sood in a ground exercise at height of 14,000 feet in the mighty Himalayas in the Indian state of Ladakh. This was during a study tour while undergoing the Staff College Course..
The average temperature was round -32-40°C and it's wonderfully cold. I say wonderfully because frankly, I didn't feel the chill and the cold. Ladakh is a pretty desolate place and is the highest battlefield in the world with the Chinese army just across the ridge.
It was a memorable time and I wish I could go there again. I hope you like this photograph of the Himalayas, the tallest mountain chain in the world..
