Why the double standard?

I was watching a online video on Facebook a few days ago where Rema, an international superstar visited his roots in Nigeria. He was on plaited hair and earrings..that's a normal thing, right? But in Nigeria, a male plaiting his hair or wearing earrings is frowned at except you are a celebrity like a singer or footballer.. In the video, Rema visited the church where he grew up and the pastor was hyping him up crazy.. praising him. That sparked a conversation online where people said if Rema is a poor unknown guy with a plaited hair and earrings, would the pastor have praised him? This shows how people side eye you when you appear a certain way but turn a blind eye to a celebrity who does the same .. It shows how money and influence changes the game

Reality bites. That's how it is everywhere. We are treated differently according to our gender, race, social standing, etc.

You're always a nobody unless you make something, that's how this world operates. But God teaches us just to be ourselves, not lost for the other endorsement.

Unfortunately, that is very true and it obviously shows hoe people are not honest with one another but liek them due to their celebrity,
