I've been home about half an hour, I guess, but my computer has not been cooperating. I got a ride to the school (wasn't sure how to get there and didn't want to be late) via the pastor's wife. As it turned out, I was half an hour early. The lady I had the interview with showed me around a bit, then another lady showed up and came with us. At one point the lady who interviewed (I guess both of us) said, "You're both here for different positions. I'm not pitting you against each other." While she was showing us around, though, things kept happening where she had to be called away--one of the children bit another one, so they had to call the parents of both the biter and the bite-ee, and I saw her talk to another lady that came in, I assume about that. A couple of other things happened where she got called away, too. After she had shown us around everywhere, she walked us to the parking lot, and said that we should know about being hired or not by early next week--though it wasn't up to her, it was up to HR. She went back to the kids, and after looking around I didn't see the pastor's wife's vehicle anywhere. I called her, and she said she'd had to use the bathroom so she went home and would be right back. I gained some more steps walking back and forth on the sidewalk while waiting for her. Now I'm home, and a minute ago I looked at my phone and I got a text from the teacher that interviewed me/showed me around: "I would love for you to join the team! You should receive an offer letter by Monday. Sorry again for the chaos, Fridays are usually especially chill." I should receive an offer letter by Monday? Had she talked to HR already? I hope that she's right, but I still don't want to get my hopes up.
