This doesn't sound good

Well folks I think the time has come for us to take a trip that we have been putting off till we had the $ since I've been out of the hosp, but just haven't made it, with redoing the cabin & the washer & fridge for hubby we had to replace & the bills. Husband got a call from 1 of his 4 sisters telling him that things have been bad for every 1 of them with illness in & out of the hosp's from falls to strokes & 1 is in bad shape, that may not make it. After all this time (14 yrs) they decide to call to tell us all this, they know I have had my health issues as well & wasn't able to take a long trip & our $ is tight & what we have been doing to get my place livable again & just getting back on our feet keeping the bills paid. Well I am doing good health wise, but it still wears me out just going shopping & paying bills all day so I know this trip will surely take a toll on the both of us no doubt about it. So where are we going ? to Fla (Panhandle) how long will we be gone ? hopefully just 2 weeks, cause I do have fish that need to be taken care of while we're gone & I'll have to get the 1's in the cabin put in the outside aquarium for my neighbor to feed. So if things come where we have no choice we'll just have to use the credit cards for the gas & hope we don't rack up a big bill to pay & my health doesn't crash on me. When do we plan to make the trip ? it has to be B-4 June "hurricane season" & after Feb, so somewhere around March to May. This is the same trip we was going to take just when I got sick & stayed in the hosp for 6 mons & it took me another 2 yrs to get back on my feet 1/2 way decent to function. So yeah, this is not going to be good if things go bonkers on us, as in something happens going to or while we're there or coming back. I know we have to look for the good things & have faith in everything will work out fine but you also have to think about things ahead too, & have a back up plan in place if you can. Cause this is not something we do every year & we're not as young as we use to be taking a long trip like this & traffic isn't what it use to be 14 yrs ago when we left Fla, so that's that. Just so you know when the time comes I'll let you know when we're leaving & I'll set up my tablet to keep in touch with you while we're gone so that way you know how we're doing & when we will be on our way back. Thank You all for your support & your friendship it means a lot to me to have you all as friends I can talk to about things, I love every 1 of you

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I pray you find solace in the best decision you can make for you and your husband. It's crucial to prioritize your own well-being and find different ways to care. Please don't put yourself in worse financial shape. Maybe you can face-time, zoom or other ways to keep in touch?

They don't do computers, so that's out, they don't bother to keep in touch, so this is a must do thing. Thank You for your advice & concerns, I always prioritize our well-being, that's 1st on the list.
