Today is supposed to be a big deal - my state, Ogun state is 50 years old today..such a huge milestone right? But let's be real, what are we really celebrating when the whole state is in darkness since yesterday? Honestly, our leaders are supposed to bury their head in shame Yesterday I went to the bank to return the tattered bills I got handed the other day.. then, I headed to the electricity company to top up my electricity card since it was totally drained and guess what? the electricity company did not have electricity either. The guy that was attending to me was sweating bullets because there was no electricity to power the fan in his office..it was heartbreaking. If the power company thats supposed to supply us electricity can't keep the lights on, then what hope do the citizens have? ..the other day, I noticed that the electricity company was running on a generator..shows how unreliable the system is.. Anyway, it's a public holiday in my neck of the woods...how are things in your part of mylot?

Nigeria? I thought Nigeria was a well developed nation. Sounds a bit third world an electricity supplier not having power on its own premises Is this simply an infrastructure failure

I am so sorry. I can’t imagine living in a country that allowed people to suffer like that. I don’t know how to get leaders to do their jobs, but I hope somehow they do.
