Oooh, what a wonderful weekend I had! I’ve established that, but I’m so excited to relive it through this post. Jordan and Jonathan Knight (brothers), members of New Kids On The Block, were doing a meet and greet at Ashley Furniture (Jon’s a sponsor or whatever) from 2pm to 4pm. As some of you know, NKOTB is my all-time favorite band. I absolutely adore the Knights, and Jordan has been my favorite member since 1989.
My PA bestie and I got to the event several hours in advance because we didn’t know how long the lines were going to get. We got out of the car once and went right back. The line wasn’t that long, and it was VERY cold. Like the kind of cold that hurts, so that was a no-go lol. We chatted and took pics in the car, all while keeping an eye on the line. Eventually, we got out and headed to Wawa to use the bathroom, since it was within walking distance. Then, we went right back to the car lol. She texted her friend, who attended Jon’s appearance at another Ashley Furniture store back in August, to find out what time we should get in line. We eventually hopped in line and chatted with some fans in front of and behind us. They let us in at 10am. The store had officially opened, and I don’t think the staff wanted us to freeze to death lol.
The wait itself was pretty fun. We chatted with other fans and played a board game called “Grab The Mic.” My friend and I took some silly pictures as well. The staff also let us relax on the furniture, and everyone was respectful. Eventually, they took the front of the line (us included) back farther and let us test out the beds while waiting. NIIIIICE. I want a cooling pillow, though, lol.
Jordan and Jon were on time, and I could hear them but couldn’t see them. Eventually, I did see them, and that’s when my nerves kicked in lmao. I’ve seen the entire band six times and met them during the last tour. I know for a fact they’re sweethearts. Buuuut, the nerves were still there. The announcer kept reminding people of the rules, and it was overwhelming an already nervous me. Sooo, my friend agreed to go first and give the boys my letter. It’s the same letter I gave to Donnie during the last tour, for the entire band. But I thought I’d hand it off to one of the boys again to be safe.
Oh, and the staff announced that they wanted to save time, so no hugs, which is like a signature greeting at NKOTB events. Jordan and Jon sort of laughed but seemed shocked.
So, my friend went first and explained how she helped me get there from Baltimore, MD. They were all smiles when she handed them the letter. I thought Jonathan took it, which was fine by me, but she confirmed that it was Jordan. OMG, MY FAVORITE HAS THE LETTER. I wasn’t expecting that lol.
When it was my turn, Jordan extended his arm for a hug, so I hugged him and Jon together. I know, rules are rules, but it was up to them at the end of the day, and I was NOT going to deny my boys a hug lol. I didn’t say much, just the usual greeting and that I loved them. The lady taking the picture (with my friend’s camera) was kind of rude, so it was distracting. She’s like, “The phone froze, so what do we do?” but it came back, so she took about three pics with it. I’m not even sure the guys were listening to her, and they waited until I got a picture too. I thanked them and told them again that I loved them (leave me alone, lmao).
The pics came out amazing, so YAY! I’m obviously going to attach one to this post lol.
Afterwards, we left to hit up a few stores (after grabbing my coat that I stupidly left at one of the tables), entered the drawing again, and took a few more pics of the guys lol. We eventually went back up front for the drawing. There were several gift certificates for the store, and one for the grand prize — seeing the guys in Vegas this upcoming weekend. I didn’t win, but it’s okay, I didn’t think I would. I’m sure there will be another contest for their June shows. There’s been one from one place or another for all the batches of shows so far. I really wanted to win, but I didn’t put all my hope on it. I was there to meet my boys, and I walked away feeling happy.
Also, my friend asked for one of the flyers from the event for me lol. And they gave away t-shirts with a vintage pic of Jordan and Jon and the phrase “Love At First Knight” on them. Yes, I got one, hehe. My friend caught one for me and the fan standing next to me.
Those who know me outside of the MyLot world know that I’ve been missing NKOTB something fierce. I haven’t seen them since 2024. Unless I win one of these Vegas contests, I won’t see them again until their next U.S. Tour, which is 2027 at the earliest. So being able to see and meet Jordan and Jon meant the world to me. I won’t go into this big speech because I don’t know how many people would get it, but I’ll leave it at this: My heart is definitely happy. :)
And I’m so grateful to my friend for making this happen. She didn’t have to do that, especially since she’s not a Blockhead, but she did, and I appreciate it.
I hope you all enjoyed my little story as much as I enjoyed telling it (and living through it).

Thank you so much!
I've seen the band in concert six times. I met all five members in 2024 before the show.
In addition, I met Danny briefly during their concert in 2022 (they go out into the crowd), and Jordan and Jon this past weekend. I've only met Donnie and Joey once (the 2024 event).
