Putin ain't as Smart as he Thinks

Instead of stepping up, replacing America where he can, Putin continues his war in the Ukraine. If he wasn't so distracted he'd have had ships around Venezuela and Cuba dealing with the oil. Would Trump dare to offend him? Of course not. Instead of making closer links with Europe and other nations, which would have long term benefits, Putin is fighting over land which he will never rule. Even if he captured all of Ukraine it would be constant social unrest, constant treachery. Talk about missing an opportunity!

I'm wondering how is this war with Ukraine affecting Russia's economy. We know that they are selling cheap oil to other countries (like India). But can this sustain their economy?

@jaylar Yes, I also think so. I think, only North Korea is their only real ally. I would not bet on China and Iran honestly supporting them.

he isn;t as smart as he thought he was. What he is doing in Ukraine is ridiculous. He has nothing to win, everything to lose, and his deflection let an ally like Venezuela get swallowed up, and Cuba is next.
