Paste

When I was a kid we used paste to glue things down on paper. It came in a round container and the lid had a small stick to swipe the paste on the paper. I didn't think they made it anymore, but Elmer's still makes it with the stick and everything the same. Have you ever used paste? picture is Pixabay.

I was just thinking about this the other day because in the movie movie It's a Wonderful Life. When the youngest daughter Zuzu loses a few petals from her flower, she tells Jimmy Stewart " Oh no, paste is daddy". and it reminded me of hearing people say paste instead of glue in the 80s and 90s.

I guess today it would be a glue stick compared to back then, and I like the glue stick better.
