Tired of waiting for constant blood donations from living human beings, Japan is testing a new kind of blood to meet medical needs, but this blood was created in a lab.
This synthetic version of blood carries oxygen and doesn't require it to be a matching blood type. They are trying to solve blood supply issues faced by hospitals throughout the world.
Whereas real blood can only be stored for a short amount of time, the lab-created blood can be stored longer.
Did you foresee this medical breakthrough?

Wow, I hope that’s helpful with things like blood cancers and diseases. Wonder if it would help in dialysis too.

It was only a matter of time. Sicience is always changing. Given that Japan has the largest elderly population, they must be doing something right.
