BAFTAS BLEEPERS BLOOPERS

So you may have seen this news story where Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting a BAFTA award at the big movie awards in the U.K and an unexpected expletive propelled out from the pristine dinner suits and frocks of the great and good and hit the pair square in the face like a custard pie. It was the dreaded 'N' Word .The man who shouted it didn't want to .He has tourettes. He was near the front row amongst the Dicaprio's and Timothee Chalamet's because a big winner on the night was a film based on his life with tourettes - called 'I swear' , of course. Now, the BAFTAS and the BBC are very lefty woke these days and want to award ethnic actors and filmmakers with awards whenever they can, lots of them and so the film Sinners meant high profile black actors up on stage. An audience applause microphone was near this guys seat. Now, this guy is known in the industry for a documentary or two about his life and he swears like a trooper, including offensive stuff. I always felt tourettes was your unconscious thoughts blurting out uncontrollably but apparently not. Needless to say the two actors were briefly shocked but carried on reading the autocue and handover the award. Now, worse still the show was on a delay and not live so the BBC had time to edit out the cursing. They didn't. They claimed he didn't hear it. This is what really riled up the black community and commentators here . Did the BBC leave it in because the guy couldn't help it and somehow prejudice to edit it out. Or did they simply leave it in hoping no one at home heard it. They clearly didn't leave it in to upset black people.I was watching on TV and didn't hear it. People at the show probably did hear it but couldn't believe what they just heard. The BBC seem in this woke turmoil where they want to please everyone at the same time. They simply should not have invited anyone with tourettes to an awards night with black folks likely to be on stage winning and presenting awards. I suspect a legal writ is heading someone's way. You dont put a cake in front of a fat person and expect them not to eat some of it.

They could hardly not invite John Davidson I wanted him to outburst the c word, and other words, I sat in anticipation of it and I wasn't let down I'm sick of the BBC, I really am. And as for the "offended " high profile black actors on stage, I bet you they use the N word all day long when speaking to each other Anyway, well done John Davidson for upsetting them, and then walking out of what was his big night too

I almost did a discussion about this. I know someone with Tourette’s. I was told often the things you least want to say comes out. That you honestly don’t know what’s coming until it’s been said. He didn’t just say the N word in front of the mic; he said it to a lady in the lobby too. I can’t fathom being being a black person, in a place with supposed culture (ha), and hearing that slur. I also can’t fathom that no one from behind the scenes didn’t go them and explain and apologize. How do they put him next to a microphone? Poor guy left in the second half or think of what else would have been said. I feel bad for him, and I feel badly for the black people who heard such a hurtful word. Inclusivity bites you in the assets sometimes.
