My gums are sinking

Something I realized is that as we grow old, our gums actually sink. I thought that this is only for denture users because I heard many denture users said that they change dentures every five years because their dentures get loose because their gums are sinking. But I am a person who doesn't use dentures. I have a complete set of teeth. But recently, I just realized my Gums are sinking as well, and I have a complete set of teeth. How do I know? When I was a teenager and also on my 20s and 30s, I used to use those white flossers. They are dental floss with plastic holders, and it used to be a breeze for me to use them. Like in just a minute, all of my food debris are gone from my gums and I have a clean mouth. But these days, using them felt like doing a surgery. My gums became harder to reach. It seemed like they sink somewhere in my mouth. And also, the structure of my teeth kind of changed. Right now, if I eat meat and pulpy vegetables, I have a lot of food debris on my mouth. It doesn't happen before. The spaces between my teeth seem to be getting looser, that they capture food debris much more worse.

Now I understand why some people are just letting their teeth fall off, because yeah, dentists, they will drain your wallet. And I'm letting them because, you know, I don't want to lose a tooth.

@CaptAlbertWhisker When he told me his, I began a CD to add to monthly and plan to use it at maturity to get it done. I guess holding on a while longer and not do dentures won't be too bad this time around but not doing any more root canals or extreme expenses other than this.

My teeth are a mess to say the least but they don't hurt and I can eat so I do not worry toom much about them,

I just changed brands of toothpaste because I heard that once your gums become sensitive, you cannot use brands like Colgate or Aquafresh anymore, so I'm now using Sensodyne.

My teeth are still in good condition. They're still complete, but yeah, I don't have food debris hanging out on my gums back then, but now it happens a lot, making me not want to eat meat, fish, and bulky fruits and veggies. It's really hard because I used to enjoy food, but I can't enjoy food if after that I will have flossing experience from hell.
