I'm not feeling well. I don't have any physical problem, but I'm badly disturbed
Today I saw a news on the tv. The news was about a 32 years young boy who has been in coma for last 13 years. His poor parents have been looking after him in the hope that he comes back to senses.
The doctors have been trying their best to bring him to life, but all their efforts produced no desired result.
The boy was in unbearable pain. His parents were helpless.
Finally they appealed to the court to give him permission to die.
Today the judges granted euthenesia to the boy. While delivering the judgement the judges were in tears.
I can't say the unfortunate boy's parents were happy as their wish was finally granted and their son will get relief from the pain he had been undergoing for thirteen long years. His life support systems will be withdrawn.
The parents burst into tears while talking to the media persons.

Thank you. This is the first time in India's history when a judge had no option other than allowing the doctors to withdraw all life support systems and let him die. The boy was a student of an engineering college.

Thank you Yes, at last , after 13 long years, he got relief. But his parents are inconsolably crying. Their only son was gone. This is the first time in our history when a judge has to allow a young man to die.

Thank you. I heard the case on tv and my heart cries. For 13 long years the boy was in unbearable pain and his body was not responding to any medicines.
Imagine the parents who had to decide go to the court seeking euthenesia for their beloved, only son. Even the eyes of the judges were full of tears when they passed the verdict.

I have also seen this news about the court judgement.
It pains to know of such suffering.
However large scale legalising of Euthanasia in India, although under discussion since many years would be liable of misuse.
Selective use would perhaps be fine.

@rakski The condition in which the boy is in now is called vegetative state. Plants are alive, they feel pain, but they can't move. They can't see. The boy also can't move.He can't even open his eyes. The doctors will withdraw the life support systems and allow him to die naturally. Nobody knows when he will die, but one day he will.

Sorry to learn that the parents of the child went through a very hard time dealing with their son living in a coma for a long period of time.

Thank you. The boy is going to die as all life support systems will be withdrawn from his body. The question is how many days will be take to die.Nobody has the answer.
What if his mind suddenly becomes active and he comes back to life?? I have been praying for it since when I watched the news on tv.
