Oscar winners tonight?

Oscars time and an entertainment genre called the movie industry on the decline as A.I takes over the industry and the big studios merge and cling together to survive. Al Pacino has already signed a multi million dollar deal to use an A.I 'him' in Film & TV when he's long gone and money to support his extended family and charity thereafter. Movies ten years from now will be made on laptops in small offices. The grandeur of the big motion picture experience and moody indy drama will be reduced to souless digital pixels. It's already started. When was the last good movie you watched? So my predictions for tonight's winners are based purely on politics, diversity and talent. Best Picture Oscar is a very broad church these days, ten movies picked to cover all tastes, demographics and genres, selling Hollywood to the world, hence Brad Pitt's F1 movie getting in their. Sinners was favourite but the Academy feel it got a record 16 nominations so to tick boxes so to have regular images of black folks on national TV coming up to win, present and look in-different in the audience when they dont win. It's a business not a talent show now. I think it will be between One Battle After ANother and the table tennis movie Marty Supreme. They seem to be the most popular of the two, to that wider audience. I will go One Battle after Another. Best Actor also between those two films, Leo DiCaprio and new Hollywood golden boy Timothee Chalamet for Marty. I think it will be Leo this time. Best Actress is nailed on for Jessie Buckley in Hamnet so no point listing the others as she has cleaned up all the major awards so far this season. Best Supporting Actress will be a box ticker, maybe Teyana Taylor for One Batlle After Another. Sean Penn is also fancied for his role in that movie for Best Supporting but, maybe Jacob Aloridi for the reimagined Frankenstein movie. Best director should really marry with best movie so Thomas Paul Anderson for One Battle would be fair as he has never won one and really deserves one. Best Adapted Screenplay could go to Burgonia, an alien, arty movie, which is actually a rare case of an interesting Oscar movie. I think Sinners will get Best Original Screenplay as its most definitely that. The rest of the Oscars I dont really care. Sinners will get a couple. Hopefully there are no people with tourettes on the front row.

there was a time I used to look forward to the Oscars, even tried to see as many of the nominees. Then, Avatar did not win. A movie no one I know saw, or cared to see, did. Now how is it the top box office production didn't win, a movie which had an effect on others and is still being watched lose to something no one remembers? So I don't bother to watch the Awards

@thedevilinme when Avatar came out, the theatres here were jammed, everyone was talking about it. I thought it would win. A movie I haven't seen to this day won. How is that possible?

@jaylar I think it didnt expect to be nominated as back then it was just 5 noms in the best movie slot so didnt spend big on lobbying for it to win. Most winners are released around the time of final nominations
