What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Every person has a different morning routine. Some people grab their phone first, others make coffee, pray, exercise, or simply take a few minutes to wake up slowly.
The first thing I do, i open my eyes lol.
Really, gor me, the first thing I usually do when I wake up is check my phone and see the time, and sometimes I also check messages or notifications. After that, I get up and start preparing for the day.
Morning habits can really affect how the rest of the day goes. Some people say starting the day without using their phone makes them feel more focused and relaxed.
What about you? What is the very first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? Do you have a routine that helps you start your day better?

I check my wife is still breathing.
Honestly .
Her sleep is so shallow she scares me sometimes

I use to check my mom when she was still alive, even my grandmother if they are breating

I can relate to that with my husband when we 1st
got together I freaked when I couldn't see if he was
breathing.

Honestly, the first thing I used to do was grab my phone, check the time, glance at notifications, and then end up scrolling. I’d even feel guilty because my thank you prayer for waking up would come second to my phone.
That’s something I’m consciously trying to change now. I keep my phone out of reach so it’s not the first thing I grab when I wake up. Instead, I start with a quick prayer, then fix my bed, head to the kitchen, and drink a warm glass of water, sometimes with lemon, on an empty stomach and there goes the start of my day...

When I wake up in the morning, the 1st thing I do is check my
sugar monitor on where my sugar level is, then go to the bathroom
then to the fridge to get my milk for my hot chocolate (my coffee)
then check the weather on tv & take my meds & get on the computer
for about 4 hrs. Then either take a few hrs nap or go outside awhile.
